Vital Voices Global Partnership invests in women leaders who are solving the world’s greatest challenges. To increase connections and efforts with a nationally located staff, they needed a workplace toolkit that aligned goals, actions and workplace expectations. Knowing we don’t leave our emotions at the door to the office, the employee engagements were inspired by artist Candy Chang’s installation, “A Monument for the Anxious and Hopeful.” The interactive workshop uncovered the empathy required to advance the work, embracing emotions that impact work and defining spatial elements to support individual work styles.
Quick engagements lead to meaningful results — concentrated work sessions with teams revealed deep cultural meaning and a sense of being heard, making the adoption of new ways of working smoother.
Creating shared-seating models in a fixed, historic building allows the teams to focus on mission and engagement while offering people flexibility at work.
A building built for mission — and flexibility for users.
